The Somerton Man was an unidentified body found on an Australian beach in 1948. Baffling clues like tagless clothing, an uncracked code, and a hidden paper reading "Tamám Shud" sparked decades of Cold War espionage and poison theories. However, in 2022, DNA analysis of hair from his death mask finally identified him as Carl Webb, a Melbourne engineer, resolving much of the 73-year-old mystery.
